The design of Casa Variedades manages to conceive unparalleled spaces dedicated to lovers of fine art, culture and variety. It also integrates different construction systems that contribute to constituting an emblematic work of the area.
For its structure, a steel structure was chosen that offers speed, versatility and seismic resistance, ideal for this type of building. On the other hand, masonry walls are used, a traditional material with good insulation properties and durability.
It should be noted that the pre-existing walls of Calicanto were recovered, integrating them into the design to restore history and provide aesthetic value.
Casa Variedades is one of the emblematic projects of Casco Development & Partners Inc., as part of the transformation of Casco Antiguo, which will have 26 cozy apartments with a social area overlooking the Creative District.
The work has six levels distributed as follows: Ground floor for commercial premises, four floors of apartments for short stays and a roof terrace and has a constructed area of 2,700 m2.
Regarding the design, it maintains the traditional colonial architecture of the area, which provides large windows and doors designed to allow ample natural lighting. From the terrace of the project, at every angle, you can clearly see the perpendicular streets that lead to the most important squares, the famous cathedrals and churches with artistic designs, typical of the time, which give life to a colonial environment full of charm.
Regarding interior design, it seeks to create an efficient space, taking advantage of every square meter to create functional, modern and comfortable apartments.
The project is a building designed and built under the EDGE regulations, to ensure savings in energy, materials and water resources. It also offers a unique experience where cutting-edge technology and the most advanced construction systems are intertwined with the beauty and charm of a colonial building.
Instead, the materials used help to maintain spaces with controlled environments and, above all, to care for the health of the owners and the environment.
