Building Tomorrow RE promotes sustainable construction in Panama

The forum presented key tools such as green finance, artificial intelligence and digitalization to transform the real estate sector. Casco Development was present.

Panama City hosted the forum Building Tomorrow RE, a high-level event promoted by Norfolk Financial Group, which brought together more than 190 leaders of the real estate, financial, technological and regulatory ecosystem.

The objective: accelerate the adoption of sustainable and innovative practices in construction.

During the forum, specific tools were presented, from green financing mechanisms up to applied technologies, demonstrating that building more efficiently, digitally and responsibly It is now possible and profitable.

Among the key issues addressed, the following stood out:

• The strategic role of banks and multilateral organizations in the financing of sustainable projects.

• Green bonds and stock exchange mechanisms to attract capital to responsible development.

• Digitalization and artificial intelligence as transformers of real estate design, sale and operation.

• Success stories of promoters that lead innovation and sustainability models in the region.

One of the highlights was the participation of Twenty, the largest social housing developer in Mexico and a benchmark in sustainability in Latin America. Local experiences of certified projects that are transforming Panama's urban landscape were also presented.

The forum was attended by the mayor of Panama, Mayer Mizrachi, who presented the new digital methodology for building permits, allowing citizens and developers follow the status of your procedures in real time.

“The decisions we make today will define the Panama of the future. Integrating sustainability isn't an option: it's a shared responsibility,” asserted Eduardo Caballero, CEO of Norfolk Financial Group.
